On May 30th, the Ministry of Science and Technology unveiled the evaluation results of the State Key Laboratory of Enterprises, in which State Key Laboratory of Industrial Vent Gas Reuse of SWRDICIwas evaluated as "good".
The Ministry conducted the first assessment for 99 state key laboratories on the first two lists since September 2017, based on the Interim Measures for the Management of Constructing State Key Laboratories Relying on Enterprises. Each laboratory has submitted the Work Summary Report, focusing on enterprise innovation and development, the progress of laboratory scientific research, the leading role of industry innovation, the conditions of scientific research and team construction, operation managementand development plan, etc.
State Key Laboratory of Industrial Vent Gas Reuse, whichwas on the first list of state key laboratories, was built in 2007 and passed the acceptance tests in 2010. Facing the major demands of the advancedtechnologies and common key technologies in the fields of energy, resources, environment and greenprocess industry in China,the laboratorytook the separation, purification and comprehensive utilization of industrial vent gas as the main research objects. It carried out researches such asbasic research, comprehensive utilization research and engineering development, and corresponding commercialization of those techniques. In the past decade, significant technological achievements have been achieved,for instance methanation of coke oven gas (CO2 as supplement) to natural gas, oxalate formation from carbon monoxide coupling, hydrogenation of acetic acid to ethanol, fuel ethanol production from industrial vent gas, denitrification at medium and low temperatures, hydrogen production from coal bed methane, etc. Meanwhile,the laboratoryhas vigorously carried out production-university-research cooperation and open services, and played an important role in technological innovation.
