A few days ago, the preliminary design review meeting for a supporting hydrogen production plant in Shanxi Taigang Stainless Steel Co., Ltd.’s (TISCO) high-end cold-rolled oriented silicon steel project contracted by Southwest Chemical Institute Co., Ltd. (SWCHEM) was held in Taiyuan, Shanxi. Taiyuan Emergency Management Bureau, Jiancaoping District Emergency Management Bureau, and the project construction constructor TISCO, the engineering firm SWCHEM and invited experts attended the meeting.
At the meeting, the expert panel listened carefully to the report given by SWCHEM on the preliminary design of the project. The panel conducted a comprehensive review, thorough discussion and analysis of the design documents, the expert panel all agreed that the preliminary design of the project met requirements for completeness of content, technology reliability, reliability of safety facilities. Overall the design satisfied the respective requirements set in national standards and specifications. As a result, the panel agreed on that the preliminary design documents passed the review , and made valuable suggestions for the project.
The successful passage of the preliminary design review is a milestone in the progress of the project, laying down a solid foundation for the construction phase of the project.
TISCO’s hydrogen production project includes a set of 2x1500Nm3/h natural gas hydrogen production plant, which provides reducing protective gas for TISCO’s high-end cold-rolled oriented silicon steel project. This project is a typical example of how SWCHEM help boosting the high-quality development of large state-owned steel companies. It is another step forward for SWCHEM to provide TISCO with technical engineering support in hydrogen energy. It is another example of a win-win joint effort between TISCO and SWCHEM.
