Recently, successes of SWCHEM’s hydrogen production conversion catalysts have become a pleasant regularity. SWCHEM have successively won bidding for supplying catalysts for three sets of large-scale hydrogen production plants of PetroChina Yunnan Petrochemical Company and Fushun Petrochemical Company, the scales of the plants are 120,000 Nm3/h, 60,000 Nm3/h, and 50,000 Nm3/h, effectively ending a long-term catalyst monopoly established by foreign suppliers in large-scale hydrogen production plants. This is a solid leap for SWCHEM in realizing the company’s mission in becoming a “domestic leading, world-renowned” catalyst supplier.

The 120,000 Nm3/h plant is currently the largest hydrogen production plant that uses mixed gas, such as natural gas and liquefied gas, as feed in China. It serves as a supporting plant in a 13 million tons/year oil refining site of PetroChina Yunnan Petrochemical Company. The hydrogen production plant uses natural gas, PSA desorption gas, and liquefied petroleum gas as raw feed. This raw feed undergoes hydrogenation, desulfurization, pre-conversion, hydrogen conversion, and finally passes the PSA process to produce hydrogen that meets the requirement for hydrogen feed for the site’s hydrogenation unit. The hydrogen conversion process at the site have always used catalyst from foreign supplier in the past. Through long-term follow-ups and an unremitting efforts of SWCHEM's sales and technical team, SWCEHM’s high quality products and technology were recognized by customers, opening up a new path for SWCHEM in large-scale hydrogen production plants.
