Industrial side-stream test of denitration self-developed by SWRDICI started up successfully

On August 9, the industrial side-stream unit of desulfurization and denitration of coke oven flue gas at low temperature, self-developed by SWCRDI, passed the expert's on-site examination in Anyang county, Henan province. We have completed the project ‘Low Temperature SCR De-NOx Pilot-scale Study’ successfully, which is a sub-project of National Key Research and Development Project. All the technical indicators meet or exceed the requirements of the assignment book, and experts have agreed on the experimental results.

This unit relies on the existing raw material gas and public auxiliary facilities of Henan Liyuan Coal Coke Group Co., LTD. The industrial side-stream test of desulphurization and denitration was carried out using low-temperature exhaust gas issued from the 1st Chimney as feed gas. High-efficiency semi-dry desulfurization technique is used in the desulfurization process while SCR flue-gas denitration technique with low-temperature in-situ regeneration is employed in the denitration process. Design, installation, commissioning and operation for this program were completed within 2 months. The designed flow for flue gas is 2000Nm3/h, and its inlet temperature is about 240 ℃. The operation result is: When SO2 concentration at the entrance of the desulfurization tower is about 120mg/m3, the data at the exit is less than 17mg/m3, i.e. the removal efficiency of SO2 is about 85%. The NOX concentration at the entrance of the denitration reactor is about 800mg/m3, and the NOX emission concentration is less than 110mg/m3 when the temperature is 230℃~240℃ at the entrance of the denitration reactor, and the data is less than 50mg/m3 when the temperature is 256℃~280℃ at the same place.

The operation of the industrial side-stream device proved that the low-temperature denitration catalyst, which took our institute 8 years to develop independently, had advantages such as low light-off temperature, excellent sulfur-resistance performance, wide temperature window and the high NOx removal efficiency. The device is especially applicable to industrial combustion kilns (such as coke oven, glass furnace, ceramic kiln, etc.) under moderate and low temperature conditions. The popularization and application of the integrated process of the device can reduce NOx emissions from industrial flue gas, which can results in significant social benefits.
