Recently, national standard “synthetic nature gas production from coal”, drafted by Coal Chemicals Subcommittee of National Standardization Committee of Coal Chemical Industry, was approved by National Standardization Administration Committee with number of GB/T 33445-2016, which would be executed from 1st July, 2017.
With the introduction of “ Action Plan for Clean and Efficient Utilization of Coal (2015-2020 years)” , the goal and direction of modern coal chemical industry is to construct clean, efficient, low-carbon, safe and sustainable coal utilization system and to relieve the pressure on resource and environment effectively by accelerating energy consumption revolution to enhance the coal utilization efficiency. To produce synthetic natural gas from coal, as the main technical route of efficient utilization of clean coal, has a broad space for development. By 2020, China's coal to natural gas production capacity will reach 20 billion cubic meters per year.
The standard of “Synthetic Nature Gas Production from Coal” is currently the first national standard of this field. In the standard, main technical indexes in process of coal to nature gas such as high heat emission, hydrogen, hydrogen sulfide, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide ,etc. have been specified, which lay a rule on natural gas pipeline transportation, other transportation and consumption so as to promote the steady development of the coal to synthetic natural gas industry. The implementation of this standard will play an important leading role in the development of China's coal to natural gas industry.
It is said that since 2016 Coal Chemicals Subcommittee of National Standardization Committee of Coal Chemical Industry officially starts to do research and draft 8 standards on Coal Chemicals, such as " Coal to Synthetic Nature Gas for Vehicle ", “Alcohol Ether to Aromatic Hydrocarbon”, “Coal to Mixed Pentene", "Coal to Gasoline Component Oil by Direct Liquefaction ", " Coal to Naphtha by Direct Liquefaction", "Fischer Tropsch gasoline naphtha the oil group", " Gasoline Component Oil Production by”, “Naphtha Production by Fischer Tropsch" , “Methanol to Gasoline component oil" . The above work will be completed by June 2017, which will exert positive influence on promoting the development of clean and efficient utilization of coal.
