On 22nd September, Professor Joachim Werther from Technical University of Hamburg was invited to visit the SWRDICI for academic exchange. More than 60 R&D staff attended the lecture.
Professor Joachim Werther, a famous expert on area of fluidized beds, is tenured professor of Technical University of Hamburg, and also a member of DECHEMA . He has a high reputation among international academic and industrial community on the field of chemistry and energy.
On his lecture, Professor Joachim Werther introduced the technological progresses on Sewage Sludge treatment in Germany, especially the process of sludge harmless treatment and phosphor recycling technology. As for phosphor recycling technology, Professor Joachim Werther introduced typical process, technical standards, equipments and running examples. Meanwhile, Professor Joachim Werther pointed out: “Sewage Sludge should not be used directly as fertilizer because of the pollutants in it. But it is practically significant to recycle phosphor as a resource from sewage sludge. .” The whole lecture was illustrated, vivid and easy to understand.
After the lecture, Professor Joachim Werther interacted with audiences from the SWRDICI. He answered questions concerning scientific issues, engineering, technology expectation, etc. from audience. His excellence answers won lasting applause.
