On 8th March, Sichuan Chemical Industry Association granted the SWRDICI with prize of Exemplary Enterprise on Scientific and technological Innovation of Oil and Gas Chemical Industry in Sichuan province on Twelfth Five-year Plan.
Oil and Gas Chemical Industry is one of the traditional advanced industries in Sichuan province. Based on Sichuan and facing the nation, the SWRDICI, by aiming at technical and industrial developing requirements of energy, resource and material areas, by integrating advanced resources, by constructing innovation value chain ‘from R&D platforms to projects, to talents and then to achievements’, carried out a lot of research projects and then promoted technical achievements to be commercialized which ushered in technological progress of energy and chemical industry and brought in upgrading of traditional industry and developing of rising economy, therefore remarkable achievements had been attained.
About platform building: On Twelfth Five-year Plan, State Key Laboratory of Industrial Vent Gas has passed the evaluation, and National Engineering Research Center of C1 Chemistry had won excellence in middle term evaluation on operation. After approved to be National Technical Committee 206 On Gas of standardization Administration of China, the SWRDICI had been approved to be Subcommittee 2 on Chemical Products of National Technical Committee 469 on Coal Chemical Industry of Standardization Administration of China. In addition, the SWRDICI has been granted with National Pilot Enterprise of Innovation and State Demonstration Enterprise of Intellectual property by State Intellectual Property Office.
About research team building: On Twelfth Five-year Plan, two Sichuan Provincial funds for Distinguished Young Research Team were given to research teams on bulk chemicals production from non-oil materials and industrial vent gas reuse respectively. Research teams on methanation, oxo- synthesis and scientific instruments were cultivated. High-end talents had been introduced and organized into research teams for coal classification and utilization and waste water treatment.
About research projects: On Twelfth Five-year Plan, led by market, and focusing on industrial vent gas reuse, bulk chemicals production from non-oil materials, coal classification and utilization, the SWRDICI had carried out a lot of research projects. The SWRDICI had undertaken more than 40 national and provincial scientific plans covering National Natural Science Foundation, 973 plan, 863 plan, national sci-tech support plan, scientific and technological transformative project, and carried out more than 20 co-operating on research projects with enterprises both national and international .
About technical achievements: On Twelfth Five-year Plan, the SWRDICI had achieved a series of technical achievements in many fields, for example, in the field of C1 chemistry: coal to nature gas, syngas to ethylene glycol, acetic acid to ethanol, MTP, OXO synthesis to tertiary carbonate; inthe field of gas separation and utilization: coke oven gas to nature gas, Calcium carbide furnace gas Purification, coal seam gas to hydrogen coal seam gas to nature gas, biomass to nature gas, flue gas denitration, etc. . Among them, the technology of coke oven gas to nature gas, advanced both home and abroad, had been commercialized in more than 20 plants, ranking first of market share. Through this technology, high pollutant waste gas turned to clean energy, which helped coke industry to upgrade and promote the development of environment protection industry. Furthermore, this technology had won the first-grade award for scientific and technological advancement and national excellence of patent.
About business development: The SWRDICI carried on research and promoted to commercialize its technical achievements actively in order to drive the development and upgrade of business. On one hand, key techniques, for example, technical achievements of syngas to ethylene glycol, acetic acid to ethanol, coal classification and utilization, especially coke oven gas to nature gas, had been comercialized. On the other hand, the SWRDICI started production such as advanced materials and energy-saving and environmental protection equipments. A structure of technologies + engineering +production laid a great solid for the SWRDICI’s future development.
