On 15th Dec, 2018, a Shanxi Key Scientific and Technological Research Project in Coal-based Industry named “Research & Engineering Demonstration of COG to SNG by Low temperature heat exchange and C02 reduction” passed the site test and final acceptance in Gu County of Shanxi province, which was organized by Shanxi Science& technology Department. The expert group gave a high appraisal to the project for its object, technical innovation, engineering demonstration, technological leading, value of commercialization as well as its energy-saving and environment friendly effect.
The project was undertaken by Shanxi Province Guoxin Energy Development Group Co., Ltd., SWRDICI and Shanxi Province Guoxin & zhengtai New Energy Co., Ltd. All participants of this project connected closely and preformed with high efficiency. With long term execution and huge budget, the project went over research stages of lab research, industrial sideline test as well as engineering scale-up. As a result, we developed the process package , key equipment as well as a new type of anti-carbonization nickel-based methanation catalyst for coke oven gas low-temperature heat exchange methanation and CO2 emission reduction with independent intellectual property rights, constructed an industrial sideline test plant for COG to SNG by Low temperature heat exchange with raw material disposal capacity to 2000Nm3/h, and built a research center and team for COG reuse. They together provided powerful technical support for efficient COG reuse as resource and CO2 Reduction.
