Brief introduction
Formic acid is a basic raw material for the organic chemical industry and is widely used in silage, natural rubber processing, pesticides, leather, medicines, printing, dyeing, and by the chemical raw material industries.
Technical features
Methyl formate and water are hydrolyzed into formic acid and methanol under certain temperature and pressure conditions. The formic acid aqueous solution is separated in the first tower and the product is obtained in the second and third towers through rectification. After separation, the methyl formate not fully reacted is recycled. The byproduct, methanol, is recycled after separation.
