SWRDICI initiated research on methanol catalysts in the middle 1970s and developed catalysts for synthesizing methanol at low/medium pressure, such as C302, C302-1, C302-2, CNJ206 and XNC-98. It won a national second prize for S&T progress, second prize of the Ministry of Chemical Industry for S&T progress, gold award of the Third Einstein Invention Expo and other awards. SWRDICI is a national unit for the “processes and catalysts for synthesizing methanol at low/medium pressure.” All technical and economic indicators of C312 series catalysts for synthesizing methanol at low/medium pressure developed in recent years have surpassed domestic and foreign advanced standards.
